The Protrac iD series of Active Tags are powered by an internal lithium battery. The tag will for the duration of its life transmit a Radio Frequency (RF) signal at a pre-set time interval. The transmitted tag data includes Customer Site Code (CSC), Tag ID, with the options of Motion Detection (M series) and Tamper Alarm Status. Protrac ID Asset Tags are encapsulated in a moulded plastic case, which is ultrasonically sealed during the manufacturing process for adverse environmental conditions. The 2T8600 is suited for operating on metallic surfaces (or plastics containing a high metal content) and is generally used for asset tagging applications. The affixing of a tag depends on the type of application the standard method is by VHB double-sided adhesive tape.
